Definition of Method of First TD

What does the term "method of first TD" mean in the world of football betting? What is meant by the term "method of first TD"?

With the "method of first TD" line, you are betting on how/if a player will score a touchdown.

These lines are usually reserved for pass-catching running backs, as they can score either on the ground or through the air.

There is a bet for that. What is the Method of First TD (Touchdown)? The King explains. For instance - let's take a look at a real "Tony Pollard - Method of First TD" line from a game that the Cowboys are playing against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers:

No TD Scored, -270
Rushing TD, +320
Receiving TD, +640

Pollard gets the majority of his touches on the ground, though he is a pass-catching running back as well.

So, if you think that Pollard might score a touchdown (and his first of the game) through the air, you'd want to put down some money on his "Receiving TD" line, which would offer a very nice payout of +640, which means that you would make $640 in profit for every $100 that you bet.

Here is another "Method of First TD" line from the same game:

Leonard Fournette - Method of First TD

No TD Scored, -192
Rushing TD, +250
Receiving TD, +550
