What does the term "total hits" mean in the world of baseball betting? What is meant by the term "total hits"?

The "total hits" line in baseball betting is very straightforward, as you are simply betting on whether the total number of hits in a game will go over or under a certain level.

The total hits line might look like this:

14.5 Hits

Over, -110
Under -110

So, if you think that pitching will rule the day in the game, you'd probably want to take the "Under 14.5 Hits" line at -110.

If you think that it will be an offensive affair, you'd want to take the over.
