Gordie Howe, affectionately known as "Mr. Hockey," was a Canadian hockey player considered one of the sport's greatest.

He played 25 seasons (1946 - 1971) with the Detroit Red Wings, winning four Stanley Cups. Howe earned six Hart Memorial Trophies as the NHL's Most Valuable Player and six Art Ross Trophies as the league's top scorer.

Known for his scoring, toughness, and longevity, he played professional hockey into his 50s, spanning five decades. The term "Gordie Howe hat trick" - achieving a goal, an assist, and a fight in one game-is named in his honor. His remarkable career left a lasting legacy in hockey history.
