Joel Embiid is a professional basketball player from Cameroon known for his dominance in the paint.



Born in Yaounde, he plays for the Philadelphia 76ers in the National Basketball Association (NBA).

He moved to the United States at age 16 to pursue basketball and played one year of college basketball at the University of Kansas. In 2014, Embiid was drafted third overall by the Philadelphia 76ers. Despite injuries that delayed his NBA debut until 2016, he quickly became one of the league's top players.

Nicknamed "The Process" - a term he embraced from the team's rebuilding slogan "Trust the Process," Embiid has been selected to multiple NBA All-Star games and All-NBA Teams. In the 2022/23 season, he won the NBA Most Valuable Player (MVP) award.

Known for his scoring, defense and a charismatic personality, Joel Embiid is very much a key figure in professional basketball.
