Marco Verratti is often compared to another Italian legend, Andrea Pirlo, because of his precise passing and ball control. He is nicknamed "Gufetto" by the Italian fans, in English meaning "Owl", because of a similar facial physique, but also his owl-like vision on the football pitch.
