The youngest of 10 siblings, Moises Caicedo is an Ecuadorian professional footballer, who plays as a defensive midfielder. Known for his intercepting, passing and tactical awareness, he is considered one of the most promising young talents in international football.

His style of play is characterized by strong defensive instincts, high work rate and exceptional tackling.

In his home country he was nicknamed "El Nino Moi", which translates to "The Boy Moi." Being a brilliant footballer from a young age, also earned him the nickname "The Diamond of Ecuador."

He began his professional career with Independiente del Valle in Ecuador's Serie A. In February 2021, Caicedo transferred to Brighton in the English Premier League. After impressing in his initial seasons, he secured a move to Chelsea in August 2023, setting a British transfer record fee. At Chelsea he shares midfield responsibilities with another breakout player, Enzo Fernandez from Argentina.

For the Ecuador national team, Caicedo has earned multiple caps since his debut in 2020. He played a key role in Ecuador's qualification for the FIFA World Cup and participated in the 2022 tournament held in Qatar.

Known for his work ethic and strong defensive play, Moises Caicedo is viewed as a rising star in both club and international football.
