Sports Nicknames - The Joker, Big Honey

Nikola Jokic is a Serbian basketball player currently dominating the NBA league as a center for the Denver Nuggets.



Some go as far to say that Nikola Jokic is the best passing big man in the league history. He moves at a slow pace, surveys the court after receiving the ball and then, most of the time, either scores or finds a perfect pass.

Jokic has two nicknames. "Big Honey", for playing slowly and smoothly and "the Joker" for having tricks such as the no-look pass, one-handed pass and other unique assists.

Nikola Jokic is an unassuming, go-with-the-flow, nonchalant kind of a player and he is also the same off the court. He is the first to arrive at training sessions and the last one to leave the gym.

Jokic came to the NBA in 2016 from Serbia and made the All-Rookie team. He was the league MVP in 2020-21.
