Rivaldo Vitor Borba Ferreira, known simply as Rivaldo and "Rivo" for short, is a retired Brazilian football star, regarded as one of the greatest players of his time.

Rivaldo was a skillful attacking midfielder and forward, famous for his dribbling, powerful shots, and free-kicks. He was a key player for both his clubs and the Brazilian national team, where he played alongside stars such as Cafu, Roberto Carlos, Ronaldo, Ronaldinho and Kaka.

Rivaldo started his career with Brazilian clubs, making a name for himself with Palmeiras. He then moved to Europe, joining Deportivo La Coruna in Spain.

His career soared when he joined FC Barcelona in 1997. At Barcelona, Rivaldo won two La Liga titles and the FIFA World Player of the Year award, as well as the Ballon d'Or, in 1999. He will always be remembered for his spectacular goals and crucial assists.

Internationally, Rivaldo was a star for Brazil, winning the 2002 FIFA World Cup and the 1999 Copa America.
