Unai Emery is a Spanish football manager and former player. Famous for his tactics and trophies won in European competitions, he is one of the most accomplished managers in modern football.

He began his managerial career with Lorca Deportiva CF, leading them to promotion to the Segunda Division in his first season. Emery then managed UD Almeria, winning promotion to La Liga for the first time in the club's history.

In 2008, he became the manager of Valencia CF, where in consecutive three La Liga seasons he finished third, ensuring qualification for the UEFA Champions League despite financial constraints.

Emery gained widespread recognition during his time at Sevilla FC from 2013 to 2016. He led the team to three consecutive UEFA Europa League titles, setting a record in the competition.

In 2016, he was appointed head coach of Paris Saint-Germain. With PSG, he won one Ligue 1 title, two Coupe de France titles, and two Coupe de la Ligue titles, grabbing a domestic treble in the 2017-18 season.

Emery managed Arsenal in the English Premier League from 2018 to 2019, leading them to the UEFA Europa League final in 2019. In 2020, he returned to Spain to manage Villarreal CF, where he led the team to victory in the UEFA Europa League in the 2020-21 season, securing the club's first major European trophy. This was Unai's fourth UEFA Europa Leage title.

In October 2022, Emery was appointed manager of Aston Villa in the English Premier League.

Known for his meticulous preparation and emphasis on tactical details, Unai Emery has earned the nickname "El Mister." This term is commonly used in Spanish-speaking countries to acknowledge the authority, expertise, and leadership.

Also, due to his resemblance to the Dracula character, he has been called "The Night Tactician" at times.
